Rohit Sharma engaged to friend cum manager Ritika Sajdeh: Which is the best place to initiate a new innings of your life? – The spot where it all begun, what better place for a cricketer than the ground where he first started his cricket. This is what prompted Indian opener and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma to drive his lady love Ritika Sajdeh all the way to the Borivli Sports Club at midnight. He then gave her a pleasant surprise pulling out a prepossessing solitaire and asking her if she will marry him. Of course Ritika had to say yes, she must have been secretly waiting for this moment to come; the two have been together for the last 6 years.

The engagement is believed to have happened on the 28th of April, as reported by DNA. And the two were able to keep it confined for almost a week’s time before the news broke out and spread.

If Rohit is the boss on the field she manages all his affairs and quite literally, off the field Ritika is not only the love of his life but also his manager; she manages all his commercial engagements. It is also reported that she has never missed out on watching a game from the stands which the Mumbai lad is playing, be it a domestic contest or IPL.

Rohit Sharma now joins the list of Indian cricketers who have decided to get committed, after Ajinkya Rahane got married to Radhika, Virat – Anushka’s relationship acceptance, left-hander Suresh Raina got married last month to Priyanka and now Rohit has decided to spend the rest of his life with Ritika. Indian cricket has certainly lost quite a few female fans owing their cricketing crushes, leaving their bachelorhood aside.

Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was first in the list of teammates who took to twitter to wish Rohit, here is what he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
