Top 10 Oldest Players to Score a Test Ton: Over the years many legends have defied the usual and common perceptions related to age. These legends had the courage and iron will to overcome the age factor and to do truly remarkable things. Sachin Tendulkar was 39 when he hit his 100th international ton. Recently West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored a century against Bangladesh during their two match series in the Caribbean Islands. He achieved this when he was 40.28 years old. He became the first South African to pass 2,500 Test runs. Taylor’s greatest achievement is generally reckoned to be scoring 508 runs at an average of 50.80 in the 1913-14 test series against England.
