The thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is just around the corner and teams are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations. All franchise have been toiling in the nets to get in rhythm ahead of their opening fixture of IPL 2020.
While everyone is sweating it out in training sessions, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Dinesh Kartik, Rahul Tripathi and Abhishek Nayar had a little bit of fun in the nets. In a recent video shared by the Kolkata franchise, Tripathi was up against Nayar. The challenge for Tripathi was to smash a six on the last ball and the umpire of the match none other than skipper Karthik.
It was a situation where former India skipper and current CSK leader MS Dhoni loves to bat. Tagged as an ideal finisher, the Ranchi stalwart has sent the ball over the rope on many occasions, especially in crunch situations. But did Tripathi replicate Dhoni’s heroics?

Kolkata Knight Riders left the situation in a grey area as they told fans to decide the outcome. They wrote, “abhisheknayar1 vs Rahul Tripathi: 1 ball, 6 to win! “In the air! Has he struck it well enough?! There’s a fielder there…! or – You decide!”

Dinesh Karthik and his troops are set to flag off their IPL 2020 campaign on September 23rd against defending champions Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi. With two IPL titles under their belt, KKR will be aiming for a third one in 2020.
Along with new additions like Australia’s Pat Cummins and England’s Eoin Morgan, KKR have match-winners like Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell in their artillery. KKR has been tagged as one of the strongest camps amongst all IPL sides. With the Shubman Gill-Sunil Narine duo at the top, KKR will be relying on Karthik, Russell and Morgan to strengthen their batting force.
Talking about their bowling department, Cummins will be heading their pace battery while Kuldeep Yadav will be steering the spin department. KKR also have a lot of young pacers like Sandeep Warrier, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
