10 Active Indian cricketers whose T20I careers are almost over
Most of these players are plying their trade in IPL but it's impossible for them to make a T20I comeback.
4. Piyush Chawla
The spinner of the Dhoni-era has found it difficult to register a robust comeback in the Virat Kohli-led side which has an iota of ‘fitness’ as a validation to make the cut into the Indian squad. The Uttar Pradesh born cricketer, Piyush Chawla has donned several hats with elan in his illustrious cricketing career.
He debuted for India in the T20I format against South Africa in 2010. Appearing for only 7 matches, the 31-year-old has an ordinary record to his name. The tweaker amassed 4 breakthroughs at an economy of 6.56 after which it was pretty tough for him to make a comeback.
With the Indian team making gambles on the youngsters, the dark clouds of uncertainty continue to hover over his head in the upcoming years. Therefore, he needs to show exemplary performance in domestic cricket in order to remain visible in the eyes of the national selectors.
