The Tamil Nadu-born cricketer has a different tale to tell altogether. The career marked by multiple in and outs has found it tough to cement a position in the national team. Dinesh Karthik was handed with the Indian cap against heavyweight South Africa in 2006. The wicketkeeper-batsman featured in 32 matches so far in T20Is.

Unable to find the touch, he was dropped from the team in the 20-over format. Although his performance in the IPL has been fabulous over the years, still nothing could help him to get back to International cricket. As far as his love for the cash-rich league is concerned, the top-order batsman has accumulated 3823 runs in 196 matches at an average of 26.01.

The 35-year-old has bagged the membership of the veteran club which perhaps has closed many doors to make his entry into the Indian team. Only persistent good luck coupled with extraordinary performances in the domestic circuit can grant him a value-added ticket to do the highest honors.
