The left-handed opening batsman is a regular member of the national side. The 28-year-old has played 24 Tests, 58 ODIs and 5 T20Is and forms a solid opening partnership with Tamim for Bangladesh. His T20I record is poor producing just 34 runs from 5 matches and he will desperately want to prove his ability to the selectors by scoring runs in the BPL. The T20 World Cup is going to be held next year and the BPL provides a perfect chance for him to showcase his talent in the shortest format of the game. He has shown in the other 2 forms that he is more than capable of scoring runs fluently, something the franchise will be expecting as well.
