Team India and New Zealand were engaged in a crunch battle in Rajkot. With the trophy on the line, the visitors had to win this one to keep the series alive and they did just that. Kane Williamson won yet another toss and this time decided to bat first. While MS Dhoni did score 49 runs they didn’t come as fast as the team wanted and as a result, the Indian team lost the match by 40 runs. With this win, New Zealand levelled the three-match series 1-1 and now the action moves to Tiruvananthpuram where they will play the series decider on November 7.
