Recently when Afghanistan left the Bangladesh soil with a Test match win, it showed their growth in the international circuit. Much of the credit should go to their newly appointed skipper, Rashid Khan who bagged 11 wickets in the game. The leg-spinner has firmly put the Asian team on the cricketing map. With his sheer determination, he has already taken giant strides in his professional life.

He has been delivering game-changing spells on a loop and his craft has attracted a lot of admirers. The leggie has become one of the leading bowlers across formats. His career graph has a striking similarity with Shahid Afridi’s career as both of them enjoyed a booming start. The Pakistan all-rounder has always been a crowd favourite and Rashid is one of his die-hard fans.

He is considered as a big match player and has invariably led the side to monumental victories. Though Afridi had his share of ups and downs his telling contributions to Pakistan cricket remained constant which even influenced the Afghan prodigy. As per Rashid, Shahid’s explosive batting excited him. He wanted to emulate him and entertain the audience in the best possible way. Of late he is hitting sixes and fours like his idol.
