In every decade the Australian cricket team has been blessed with quality pace bowling options. In the current scenario, Pat Cummins is one of them and it can be validated from his gallantry efforts in 2019 Ashes. He took a total of 29 wickets in 5 Test matches and finished on top of the mountain by bagging the No.1 spot in the ICC bowler rankings. Within a year he has become the leader of the pack.

It is very refreshing to see Cummins running in and bowling hundreds of overs without getting injured. He is one of the rare bowlers who never compromised his pace even after being troubled by a series of injuries. He likes to get let off the steam on the opposition batsmen and he might have learned it from his cricketing idol, Brett Lee. The speedster is a strike force who terrorized his opponents with his raw pace.

Lee’s aggressive bowling and ripping bouncers are part of cricket folklore. He is known for his fiery spells and the same is the case with Cummins who likes to tease the batsmen with chin music. Both of them have played for the same domestic team, New South Wales. It can be noted that Pat regularly sledges the batting side coupled with a grin, a style developed by Lee. He has revealed that he has tried to copy Lee’s chainsaw celebrations in his teenage days.
