Piyush Chawla’s cricketing career dates long back in his early teens. As a 15-year-old he represented India Under-19 and Uttar Pradesh U-22. Before he made his first-class debut, at 17, he had already bowled Sachin Tendulkar with a googly in a Challenger Series match. Though he has an unfortunate reputation of leaking away too many runs, his wicket taking ability indemnifies for it. He has been a regular in the IPL. Chawla is also a world cup winner. He was part of the 2011 world cup winning Indian squad.
