4. Tim Paine (T20Is/ODIs)
He is the captain of the Australian Test team and has represented the kangaroos in 35 Test matches. The wicket-keeper batsman is currently 36 years old and still has some cricket left in him. The right-hander has scored 1535 runs in the whites and has scored them at an average of 32.66.
But then, even though he is still a part of the Australian Test team, Paine’s T20I career is almost over. He played a T20I for the kangaroos more than three and half years ago and has almost no chance at his age to once again make a comeback to the Australian side.
Even in the ODI format, Paine has not got a chance to represent Australia since June 2018. So, it would be wise for Paine to retire from limited overs cricket, so that he can give his best for Australia in Test match cricket in the final leg of his career.
