In the history of Indian cricket, the individual who brought sweet smiles to millions of faces is none other than Kapil Dev. By lifting the World Cup in 1983 the Haryana cricketer inspired the entire nation. Still, he found himself in the most untoward situation when he was accused of spot-fixing.

At the dawn of this century, several columns started rolling out questioning the honesty of the legendary cricketer. Amidst this, he also made an appearance in one of the talk shows hosted by Karan Thapar. There the journalist asked him about the match-fixing allegations made against him.
