A very talented batsman, Kambli and his former friend Sachin Tendulkar put on a record 664 runs partnership in a school match. He was selected for the Indian test team and he performed unbelievably initially with two double hundreds. Barring an aversion for short-pitched balls, his technique was pretty good. But due to his loss of form, he didn’t play another match for India after 2000.
