A tearaway fast bowler is a gem in India and we always keep searching for him and Nathu is one of that rare gems who can consistently bowl over the 140 kph mark, which is not a common phenomenon in India. He has genuine pace and is considered as India’s fast bowling future by many legends. The IPL has been the turning point or the stepping stone for international success. 1. Birth:
Nathu Bharat Singh was born in Jaipur on the 8 September 1995 in the ‘Pink City’ Jaipur, Rajasthan.
2. The son of a factory worker:
The story of Nathu Singh is a fairy tale, a perfect, ‘Rags to Riches story’. His father was a factory worker. It has been said that he didn’t have shoes to bowl due financial issues. Now, Nathu Singh is tipped to become one of the fastest bowlers in India.
3. Rahul Dravid’s remark:
Rahul Dravid came across Nathu Singh for the first time while coaching the India A side. Words could not express what Dravid experienced upon seeing Singh. ‘This boy is good, please keep an eye out for him’ was what he said in a meeting with the selectors. Nathu has also been endorsed by former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir.
4. First-class debut:
He shot to fame on his Ranji Trophy debut. Playing for his native team Rajasthan against Delhi at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Singh took 7 wickets in the second innings with Unmukt Chand and Gautam Gambhir featuring among his scalps. The rest, as they say, is history.
5. The Tattoo on the arm:
Nathu sports an interesting tattoo on his arm. It reads, “Mom Dad.” It is reported that his father had paid Rs. 10,000 a year for his son to play at the Surana Academy. His father told him, “Whatever I have I will put in. Let’s see for two months how you go.”

Nathu Singh has set his goals to emulate South African bowler Dale Steyn. While his goal may be to eventually bowl like Steyn, Singh aims to become the fastest bowler in the world.

His story is truly remarkable. While he may not have had the best of starts, raw pace seems to be one of his strong points. However, despite financial difficulties, he proved that talent is worth much more.
