10 Indian First Class and IPL cricketers banned for fixing
Here is the list of 10 prominent domestic Indian names that were banned for fixing in IPL and First Class cricket.
10. Hiken Shah (Mumbai)
Hiken Shah emerged in the Mumbai cricket circuit in the year 2007. The team needed youngsters to step up in the season and Shah proved to be the one. He scored a century in his very second game. With time, his form dwindled and so did his fortunes. Hiken was banned for five years by the BCCI for making illegal approaches to players in the IPL and domestic cricket.
Some reports in the Hindustan Times had suggested that Shah had allegedly approached Pravin Tambe for match fixing. Tambe, a player in Mumbai and Rajasthan Royals, reported the issue to the IPL governing body. The Anti-Corruption unit of the BCCI took action subsequently.
