T20 cricket, unlike today’s time, was often earlier viewed as a young man’s game. Especially, during its infancy when the youthful Indians lifted the inaugural ICC World T20 glory, the world was convinced that the format can only be leisured by the juvenile and peppy ones. When players like Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum started to attain three-digit scores then the world conceived it to be a place of muscular and sturdy hitters.

However, the veterans on the flip side have always perceived T20 as a format of their vintage. Players like Brad Hodge and Michael Klinger were the pioneers to break the notion, especially by prolonging their careers even past the age of 40 effectively. Nowadays even legendary names like MS Dhoni and Chris Gayle are relishing their final playing days only by rejoicing T20 cricket. Perhaps overall even other old masters like Imran Tahir, DJ Bravo and Shoaib Malik are still efficiently active.

Hence with a mega-event like the ICC 2021World T20 also running up its due course, let’s check out the top 10 oldest players playing the tournament.
