10. Charles Bannerman – Australia
Australia’s first century in Test cricket came from Charles Bannerman (actually born in England). He also holds the records for facing the first ball of the inaugural Test, in Melbourne in 1876-77, scoring the first runs. He finished with 165 before retiring hurt with a split hand.
