Zimbabwe played their very first test against India in 1992 at Harare ground. Veteran keeper and Captain Dave Houghton became only the second man after Charles Bannerman to score a debut century in their country’s first test. Houghton scored an impressive 121 runs which helped Zimbabwe scored 456 in their first innings. His innings helped Zimbabwe to draw the test and become the first team not to lose their first match since Australia in 1877, the very first test.
