Shehan Jayasuriya is an aggressive batting all-rounder who was used in the middle order for a while by the Sri Lankan national side. The left-hand batter made his international debut in August 2015 and went on to play 12 ODIs and 18 T20 internationals for his home nation.

Jayasuriya had the highest score of 96 which turned out to be his only half-century in international cricket and his off break produced six wickets across formats. He last played in the Sri Lanka colours against West Indies in a T20I in 2020 and has decided to move with his family to the USA.

Jayasuriya is yet to represent the American nation in international cricket, however, the 30-year-old would have been in the scheme of things for the Sri Lanka squad for the Asia Cup 2022 in UAE.
