10 Players who have played for most T20 teams

Ever since the emergence of T20 cricket, the level of competition has grown immensely in the domestic tournaments. With the rapid rise of domestic T20 leagues, the younger players have benefited a great deal and this has even provided an opportunity for the international players to feature in different tournaments and become globetrotters. Not only do they benefit their own game but also make it a great learning experience for the domestic stars. Here are the top players who have featured for most T20 teams. 10. He has had the privilege to captain the national side and also the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. With 181 matches to his name, he certainly is an experienced candidate when it comes to T20 cricket. He plays for the St. Lucia and St. Lucia Zouks in the Caribbean Premier League. The other notable teams that he has played for are Glamorgan, Hobart Hurricanes, Nottinghamshire, Rangpur Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Stanford Superstars, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Titans, West Indians, West Indies XI, Windward Islands. 9. Ever since he took a break from the international cricket, he has been travelling all around the world featuring in various T20 leagues. Mahmood has played 223 T20 matches in his career. While he started playing the county tournament in England, he played for Kent and Surrey. Back home in Pakistan, he plays for Islamabad Leopards. He was unlucky not to be picked at the last IPL auctions but has played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab before. Other teams that he has played for are- Auckland, Barbados Tridents, Barisal Burners, Cape Cobras, Dhaka Gladiators, Lions, Pakistanis, Surrey, Sydney Thunder, Wayamba United. 8. The Englishman who last played a T20I in 2009 has played 230 T20 matches in his career so far and averages 32.79. With 5509 runs to his name, he is certainly a man to have in any team. While he has played for Essex, Middlesex and Hampshire back in England, the other teams that he has played for include- Cape Cobras, Delhi Daredevils, Dhaka Gladiators, Hobart Hurricanes, Jamaica Tallawahs, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sylhet Super Stars, Wellington. 7. He has scored over 4000 runs with an average of 25.76. He is a handy player to have in the shortest format of the game and often plays the role of the pinch hitter. He has represented Northern Districts and Auckland in the domestic T20 tournament of New Zealand and was a part of the Chennai Super Kings and Deccan Chargers in the IPL. He has played 31 T20Is for the national side too. Other teams that he has played for are- Durham, Essex, Hobart Hurricanes, Kandurata Warriors, Leicestershire, Middlesex, New Zealand A, Sussex, Sylhet Royals, Titans. 6. He is currently vying for a spot in the Scotland side and was signed by Scotland as an overseas player in the County Championships. Arafat, who has played 5 T20Is for Pakistan in 2007-08, has picked up 277 wickets in his T20 career at an impressive average of 21.60. He has played for the following teams so far- Barisal Burners, Canterbury, Dolphins, Hampshire, Kent, Khan Research Laboratories, Lancashire, Otago, Pakistan, Pakistan A, Perth Scorchers, Rawalpindi Rams, Rawalpindi Region, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex. 5. With an image of an absolute tormentor, Afridi is often a favorite pick for most of the teams in all major leagues. He played for Deccan Chargers in the first edition of the IPL. He was signed by Melbourne Renegades and South Australia Redbacks in the Big Bash League. Back home, he plays for Karachi. Afridi has the distinction of taking Pakistan to a T20 World Cup win in 2009. He plays for Basnahira and Ruhuna Reds in the domestic Sri Lankan tournaments. He has been swapped across Dhaka Gladiators and Chittagong Vikings in the BPL and has represented Surrey in the English domestic tournament. He has hit 16 T20 centuries in his career and remains to be the batsman with most centuries in the format. Chris Gayle became the first ever batsman in the history of T20 cricket to accomplish the double distinction of hitting 600 or more fours and 600 or more sixes. His innings of 175 in 66 balls for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Pune Warriors India in the IPL remains to be a nightmare for any team playing against him. Brad Hodge has played 15 T20Is for Australia and has played 248 T20s, the sixth most capped T20 player in the world. He has 6812 runs to his name and is the second leading run-scorer in T20s after Chris Gayle. In the Big Bash League, he has played for Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Victoria and the Adelaide Strikers. He has picked 257 wickets in 215 T20s in his career. Nannes has marshaled through Victoria, Sydney thunder and Melbourne Renegades back in Australian domestic T20s. He has played for the Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Superkings in the IPL. The other major teams that he has been a part of are- Basnahira Cricket Dundee, Canterbury, Lions, Middlesex, Mountaineers, Nottinghamshire, Otago, Somerset, Surrey, Sylhet Royals.
