8. England cricketers urinating on the pitch after winning the Ashes
The fifth and final Ashes Test match between Australia and England ended in a draw after the umpires had called off the day’s play due to bad light. England needed 21 runs to win in four overs to seal the series 4-0. However, the play had already been extended until 7.30 and the bad light meant that the umpires had to take the decision was turned out to be controversial.
However, what to happened after the match and the presentations was even more disgraceful. England players were celebrating after winning the Ashes and came on the ground with a beer in their hands. They enjoyed the moment as the whole squad sat and rejoiced the win over their arch-rivals.
But then several players of the team including Kevin Pietersen, Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson proceeded to urinate on The Oval pitch and that created a furore the next day. However, soon the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) later released a statement apologising on behalf of the players.
