By emerging as a white-ball specialist pacer for England, Tom Curran had made his IPL debut back in 2018. So far the pacer has played for three different franchises and is currently with the DC squad for the second leg. However, with regards to his IPL journey so far, Tom has struggled to reap quality performances as overall from 12 games, only 10 wickets have been scalped at a tragic economy of 11.13.

Perhaps by further scrutinizing his performances in both IPL 2020 and 2021, the speedster has merely managed to pick 4 wickets from his 7 games at an economy of 10.61. In fact, in the first leg of IPL 2021, Curran’s best match bowling figures read 1/40 which in many ways sums up his unpleasant tussle.

Overall, as a T20 freelancer, Curran’s performances are drastically way better and distinctive in other leagues but in the IPL it has been an ordeal. All in all, with the second leg now further dimming his playing chances, the England pacer surely looks in dire straits over his contract in the next season.
