Well, there’s no doubt that Saurabh Tiwary’s best IPL days have specifically come under the MI management. The cricketer often becomes the MI team’s choice if he gets unsold perhaps bagging him as a reserve batsman. Also, since the southpaw somehow can dwell himself anywhere in the top seven, he’s often viewed as a utility player by the MI think tank.

Last year, since the franchise had endured some brief injury woes, Saurabh did receive some adequate opportunities wherein he eventually emerged with nothing but mediocrity. From his total seven games, the southpaw only managed to score 103 runs at an average of around 20. In fact, with regards to his striking abilities, unfortunately, the big man had an awful strike rate in the 120s.

Further, even during the first game of IPL 2021 second leg, the left-hander played a crawling inning that apparently was described as null by the purists. Overall, it can be said that the southpaw’s big-hitting zeal is a thing of the past which in totality might affect his bagging in the 2022 IPL.
