The unknown faces make a huge impact and become match-winners via IPL. With the T20 World Cup scheduled next year, the fans will have their expectations on the national teams to provide more excitement and competitiveness. Hence, more exposure to T20 cricket at a high level is necessary. And the IPL provides the right platform for aspiring players. But, what remains a cruel reality is some of the T20 superstars are heavily overlooked. They don’t get much attention in the auctions. Year after year, he manages to score runs for his domestic side, but still, he is unable to make it to the national side. This selection mystery is also reflected in the IPL. Sheldon has been unable to make it to the playing XI of KKR regularly. During the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament, he scored some solid runs for his team. With some half-centuries in the ongoing tournament, he failed to make it to the national side, or India-A side.
