4. Most number of pairs in a match (3):

India dismissed three Sri Lanka pairs in their one-off Test played in Chandigarh in 1990. Venkatapathy Raju proved to be too hot to handle for the islanders in that match.

5. Most number of centuries (51):

The biggest batting record held by an Indian and it is none other than Sachin Tendulkar. The maestro slammed 51 of them in 200 Tests played between 1989 and 2013 at an average of 53.78. The current player with the most number of Test hundreds is Pakistan’s Younis Khan and his number is 32!

6. Most number of Tests (200):

Another ‘only Tendulkar’ record. The man is the only man on the planet to play 200 Tests (India, on the other hand, has played 500 games so he has played in 40 per cent of India’s games so far!) The next highest is 168 – the number of Tests played by Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh.
