Last half of 24th National Cricket Tournament for the Blind to be played in Mumbai
AP, HP, Gujrat, and West Bengal made it through to the Mumbai-leg of the tournament.
The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and World Blind Cricket (WBC) affiliated Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) declared that the Mumbai leg of the 24th National Cricket Tournament is scheduled to be organized by Cricket Association for the Blind of Maharashtra (CABM) from October 30 to November 3.
The interzonal tournament which has already commenced earlier this month will be concluded in Mumbai this week where two groups will have 4 teams each. Two teams from each group will be chosen on a point basis and then they will enter Quarterfinals/ Semi-Finals and to the Finals.
The prize money for the winners of the tournament will receive an amount of INR 50,000 while the runners-up will take away a cash prize of INR 30,000 along with the trophies for the two teams. Additionally, there also will be momentoes provided the to Man of the Match/ Man of The Series/Best Scoring/Best Bowler/Best Fielder.
The tournament holds key for providing a platform to the talent for their selection in the Indian team ahead of the forthcoming 5th ODI World Cup at Dubai and Pakistan, which is scheduled to be held from the 7th to 21st of January 2018. The event will be organized by Pakistan Blind Cricket Council in association with World Blind Cricket Ltd (WBC).

From the six teams in the South Zone featuring Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, the Andhra Pradesh team have made it to the final leg of the tournament. From the West Zone, it is the Gujrat team which overhauled teams such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
From the West Zone, it was the West Bengal team which progressed from the group featuring teams such as Tripura, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha whereas the Himachal Pradesh team progressed to the next round of the 24th National Cricket Tournament.
