2. Rodney Marsh
Former Australian cricketer Rod Marsh passed away on 4 March 2022, at the age of 74. He had suffered a heart attack and went into a coma. Marsh, who made his international debut in 1970, made significant contributions first as a wicketkeeper and then as a national selector.
Apart from this, he also impressed everyone as a coach. He had a tremendous record in first-class matches as he scored 11067 runs in 257 matches at an average of 31.17. Marsh scored 3633 runs in 96 Tests for Australia at an average of 26.51. In 92 ODIs, he scored 1225 runs at an average of 20.08. The pairing of Dennis Lillee and Rod Marsh holds a different identity in world cricket as they were involved in 95 dismissals.
