Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds passed away in a car accident in Townsville on May 15. Symonds was one of the few all-rounders who have an average of 40 or more in all formats of cricket.

Symonds played many fine innings in his 11-year-long international career. Apart from that, he performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and made many records in domestic cricket. He was considered a complete package in limited-overs cricket. Symonds played a key role in the 2003 and 2007 World Cup for Australia and significantly contributed to two World Cup victories for his team.

This Australian batting all-rounder received the Australian cap against Sri Lanka in 2004. He played 238 matches for Australia and scored 6887 runs with the help of eight centuries and 42 half-centuries.
