2. Manish Pandey
Another decision that has backfired for Kohli is to play Kedar Jadhav instead of Manish Pandey. The latter was at his colossal best in the T20I series, showing off his finishing skills and scoring the much-needed runs down the order.
If the first three T20Is against New Zealand, where he played just 18 balls and made 28 runs, displayed his ability to add quickfire runs, the fourth one showed his temperament as a batsman. With a collapse of the top-order, he not only steadied the Indian innings but guided it to a commendable total with his 36-ball knock of 50 runs.
He must be included in the squad in place of Kedar Jadhav who has done a little with the willow so far. The hard job was already done when he took to the crease in the first ODI and he failed miserably in the second match. With the team chasing and all the best batsmen in the pavilion, he had an apt opportunity to show his class but he could only manage 9 in his innings of 27 balls on Saturday.
