In recent times, most of the players who have made their debuts for India have been really impressive. This has to do with the fact that these players are well prepared and well trained. One of them has been Suryakumar Yadav who has played three T20Is for India so far, but has impressed most of the fans and cricket experts.

Yadav is one of those players who didn’t just knock on the selectors’ door but had to break it to get into the Indian team. Surya scored a fantastic 31-ball 57 and 17-ball 32 in the two times he batted against England. He has also received a call-up for the ODI team because of his amazing record in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In those matches, he was batting in the middle order of the Mumbai team.

He scored 332 runs in five matches with a strike rate of 151.59. If Surya comes into the XI, it will be an obvious call to promote Rahul up the order to open the batting with Shikhar Dhawan. As discussed earlier, Rahul’s record as an opener in ODIs is quite magnificent to make a great case for him.
