3. Jayant Yadav
Jayant Yadav was picked in the Indian ODI squad against South Africa as a replacement for Washington Sundar who tested positive for COVID-19 before the series. Yadav made his ODI debut way back in October 2016 against New Zealand. He is a decent cricketer but has not done any stand-out performance to be in the Indian squad.
He played the third and last ODI in the South Africa series in Cape Town and went wicketless in the game and gave 53 runs of his quota of 10 overs. Jayant Yadav’s appearances in international cricket have been very few as India have too many spin-bowling all-rounders.
The 32-year-old Yadav has played five Tests and two ODIs for India and while his performances have been good in Test format, he has not got too many chances because of Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin who are the first-choice spin-bowling orders in the longest format for India.
