2) 3-0 against West Indies in 2019
Team India toured USA and West Indies for three-match T20I series in August 2019 which was followed by three ODIs and two Tests. The first two games were played at Lauderhill, Florida with the final game of the series being played the Providence Stadium in Guyana. In what was a low-scoring series opener, the Men in Blue overcame the Carlos Brathwaite-led West Indies side by a margin of four wickets.
Chasing just 96 runs for a victory, India took 17.2 overs to complete the formalities with Rohit Sharma top-scoring for the visitors with 24 off 25 balls. After ‘a not-so-convincing win’ in the low-scoring affair, skipper Kohli hoped for a turn around in the batting department after opting to bat first on winning the toss in the second T20I. India finished at 167-5 in 20 overs courtesy a magnificent half-century from Rohit Sharma (67 off 51 balls). Due to incessant rain, the play was called off while during West Indies’ chase.
The hosts who managed 98-4 in 15.3 overs lost the fixture as well as the series by DLS method as they were 22 runs short of the par score when the play was called off. With the series in their kitty, India brought young Rahul Chahar in for Ravindra Jadeja as the 20-year-old leg spinner made his T20I debut in the final game of the series played at Guyana. Chasing 147 runs for a series whitewash (3-0), India won the game quite comfortably by seven wickets in 19.1 overs with skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant scoring half-centuries.
