1. Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc has been away from the IPL for the last four years. However, it is also surprising that the Australian left-arm pacer has played just a couple of seasons in the IPL. It was in 2014 when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pouched Starc for a sum of INR 5 crores. Starc played 27 games across two seasons and picked up 34 wickets.

However, constant injuries kept him out. In 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) broke the bank and splurged INR 9.4 crores on the left-arm quick. But another injury kept him out. But Starc looks all set to return to the IPL after a four-year hiccup. There’s no doubt that he will be among the most attractive players.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have lacked a quality pacer over the last couple of years. Moreover, they have also lacked a proper death bowler. Thus, Starc’s addition could bolster their side. With CSK already having good batting depth and great spin options, Starc will definitely add great variety to the pace attack. He could well be the X-factor that they need in the bowling attack.
