Sam Curran was recruited by CSK in the 2020 auction. As CSK played the final in IPL 2019 and their team looked settled, Curran wasn’t certain to be a part of the playing XI in IPL 2020. However, as Dwayne Bravo was injured in the initial games, the English all-rounder played as his replacement and his performance was quite decent with both bat and ball.

The southpaw is a dominating batsman and he can bat at the top as well as a finisher. Also, he dons the duties of bowling with the new ball for CSK and he excelled in that role too. Considering his all-round abilities, he is one of the bright prospects for CSK in an otherwise dull season.

Also, the Englishman is just 22 years old and he is an integral part of England’s limited-overs squad as well. As he has a lot of cricket left in him and the youngster can be a wise investment for CSK. If he gets the backing from the team management, he can be one of the major match winners for Chennai in the coming years.
