Meanwhile, if the reports are to be believed, Mustafizur Rahman and Akila Dananjaya have been released by Mumbai Indians to bag <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2019-mi-buy-quinton-de-kock-from-rcb-in-an-off-season-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Quinton de Kock</a>&#8216;s services. With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 also looming, the cricketing fraternity is preparing themselves for a combination of extravaganza, adrenaline and rush.

Delhi Daredevils have been one of the underperforming sides in the IPL. After a strong showing in the first season, they haven&#8217;t been able to remain consistent and have never made it to the finals of any season of IPL. They have made it to the playoffs on a few occasions for a good measure.

Not only they have made several changes to their support staffs and captains but have tried various combinations of players, however, none could crack the code to romp them to their inaugural final and the title.

Maxwell&#8217;s greatest run in the Indian Premier League was in the 2014 edition in which he accumulated 552 runs, playing for the Kings XI Punjab. He was especially very destructive in the initial part of that season which was held in the UAE. His pyrotechnics had been crucial to Punjab making it to the finals of the tournament for the first time.

The subsequent seasons saw Maxwell going down drastically in the previous season. In the 2015 and 2016 tournament, he could manage only 145 and 179 runs respectively. The 2017 season was relatively good for the flamboyant Aussie, as he amassed310 runs, but far too low for a player of his calibre.

Maxwell yielded only 169 runs from 12 games at a poor average of 14.08 in the last season. As a result of his dismal form, he had to be dropped later in the tournament. This could be an indication that it is time to move on from Maxwell and look for all-rounders like Kieron Pollard, Carlos Brathwaite and <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ben-stokes-helps-kl-rahul-latter-lost-shoes-running/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ben Stokes</a>, if available.

But he couldn&#8217;t make any impact.  He made his T20I international debut against India, picking two wickets, but leaked 47 runs in four overs.
