3 players from U19 World Cup 2008 whom Virat Kohli will face again in 2019 WC
Virat’s 11 year journey in the world cricket has been remarkable.
Mohammad Amir (Pakistan)
Amir played only 1 match in the Under 19 world cup. He had a good match, where he took 3 wickets for just 12 runs in his 7 overs. However, he withdrew from the WC soon after that. In 2011, he was banned for 5 years due to spot-fixing scandal. He made his international return in 2016. Since then he has witnessed a sharp dip in his form. He has only 5 wickets to his name since 2018 (11 matches). The matters have become absolute do-or-die for him now.
If Pakistan play India in the World Cup, Pakistan will heavily rely on him to get the top order out, which has star-studded batsmen in Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat. He did it in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final, where he sent all 3 of them into the pavilion in a span of 33 runs. He will hope to do that again, and Virat will be eager to take revenge. Thus, this is going to be a nail-biting rivalry.
