3. Kane Richardson
Another Australian death bowling specialist, Kane Richardson was aggrieved to be left unsold in the 2022 auction and admitted that his withdrawal from RCB due to Covid fears in the previous season (which was later halted) might have played a part in the same.
A skilful proponent with the old bowl, Richardson is known for his cutters and variations in pace and length. He could be the answer to ease MIs well documented death bowling problems this season, with Bumrah unable to receive any support from the other end.
The experienced 31-year-old could be the perfect replacement in terms of cost as well, likely to go for cheaper than the likes of Starc and Curran so he should definitely be on the radar for MI next season regardless of Archer’s fitness status as he would be a welcome boost to a faltering bowling lineup.
