3. Shams Mulani
This is a name not a lot of people might’ve expected in this list. However, Shams Mulani has been a key member of the Mumbai squad in domestic cricket. Irrespective of the format, the left-handed all-rounder has been very consistent.
He has been in excellent form this season. With the ball, the left-arm spinner picked up eight wickets in as many games in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and had an economy of 6.65. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Mulani took 12 wickets from eight games. He’s been Mumbai’s leading wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy as well and has been batting really well too.
Thus, he comes as a complete package. He scored a fine 73 in one of the Syed Mushtaq Ali games, showcasing his ability with the bat. His overall record in domestic cricket is pretty good too. Thus, Mulani could’ve been an underrated but a worthy pick for RCB.
