2. Several options of all-rounders which Dhoni likes

Since the inception of T20 cricket, every team which has been successful has had some quality all-rounders. With CSK as well, we have seen several renowned all-rounders being part of the franchise over the years. Dwayne Bravo, who arrived in CSK in 2011, is still around adding depth to their batting order along with experience of death over bowling. 

Along with him, there is Ravindra Jadeja, K Gowtham and Moeen Ali. All three are capable enough to give their captains four overs in a T20 match. But, another aspect that the trio is good at, is tonking the balls into the stands if and when required. Sam Curran is also in the ranks, who was impressive with both bat and ball in the previous season. 

Apart from this, the two important Indian bowlers, Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar have the ability to give their side some handy runs batting in the lower order. Then there is Suresh Raina, who bats in the top order but can bowl some good off-spin as well. MS Dhoni as a skipper would love this because we have seen in the past, that he uses bowlers very effectively taking the pitch and opposition in mind. On some days, he will give four overs to a bowler and in the very next match, the bowler might not get a single over.
