Ireland are currently busy taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Bearing in mind their experience at the highest level, the Gary Wilson-captained unit is expected to go deep into the T20 tournament. The T20 league ends on November 2, exactly the day before the start of Bangladesh’s tour of India.

In January 2020, Ireland are set to tour the West Indies for an ODI and T20I series. Hence for around a couple of months, the team won’t be having any major international assignments. Ireland have toured India before for full-fledged series, though they played versus Afghanistan in Greater Noida and Dehradun.

The BCCI, also the world’s richest cricket board, could now think about calling them over in November if the series against the Tigers don’t take place.
