Year after year, there are multiple batsmen who steal the limelight in the Indian domestic circuit. However, it is not often that a 17-year-old does. A certain Yashasvi Jaiswal has done that. The young Mumbai batsman has forced everybody to sit up and take notice.

For the last year or so, Jaiswal has been scoring runs consistently in the Under-19 arena. Be it red-ball or white-ball, he has risen up to the challenge. Thus, on the back of some impressive performances, he made his first-class debut earlier this year which didn’t click. But success didn’t elude him for long.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy this year, Jaiswal made his List ‘A’ debut and has smashed his way to 504 runs from five games. Three hundreds, including a fabulous double ton against Jharkhand, has put the limelight firmly on him. The 17-year-old has scores of 44, 113, 22, 122 and 203 (latest) from his five 50-over games.

Hence, with the IPL 2020 Auction just a couple of months away, the spotlight will be on him. Thus, here are three teams that could possibly bid for Yashasvi Jaiswal in the upcoming auctions for the 2020 season.

1. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have always been a star-studded team. However, they never seem to have the results go their way. Even now, the team revolves around megastars like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Moreover, most of the onus is on the duo to perform.

In fact, Kohli and de Villiers have consistently been performing for RCB over the years. However, if they fail, the team goes down more often than not. Kohli keeps switching between opening and No. 3. Hence, there is no real stability.

Thus, the inclusion of Yashasvi Jaiswal could be a real boost. The youngster can bat at the top of the order which will allow Kohli to control the innings from his preferred No. 3 position. Moreover, RCB also have an opening issue where they’ve tried multiple players in the last couple of years. Hence, it could solve that as well.
