Despite being an inexperienced bowling side, CSK’s fast bowling unit emerged as one of the few positives for the team in IPL 2022. Simarjeet Singh is a fast bowler who has done well in a consistent manner in whatever limited opportunities he got. Like Choudhary, Simarjeet is also known for his swing bowling with the new ball.

The 24-year-old who hails from Delhi was signed by CSK for his base price of INR 20 lakhs at the IPL 2022 mega auction. With limited opportunities, Simarjeet managed to showcase his talent and impressed many cricket pundits and fans with his classic swing bowling. The pacer looked more improved after every match.

Simarjeet picked up four wickets in six matches at an economy rate of 7.66. His best performance of the season came against the Delhi Capitals, where he ended his spell with 2/27. He continued the same form in the low-scoring game against Mumbai where he showed traditional swing bowling skills along with Choudhary. CSK will get his services back for the next IPL season and if Chahar, Choudhary, and Simarjeet play together it will be a treat to watch twelve overs of swing bowling.
