‘34 was not the age to let go' - Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz and other Pakistan cricketers condole death of Sushant Singh Rajput

Prominent Bollywood actor and TV star Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on Sunday and he was found dead at his Bandra residence, according to reports. Sushant’s untimely demise left everyone shocked and Twitter was soon flooded with condolences.

Sushant was best known for his portrayal of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in his biopic– MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Due to Sushant’s association with cricket, many players mourned the loss of the Bollywood actor. Sushant had delivered a stellar performance in the biopic and had had even met players like Kiran More and Suresh Raina during the filming.

Many cricketers were left stunned after hearing about Sushant’s demise. From Sachin Tendulkar to Shikhar Dhawan, many Indian players mourned the loss of Sushant and paid tributes to him. Raina even remembered the instance when he had met Sushant while filming Dhoni’s biopic.

May Sushant’s soul rest in peace: Shoaib Malik

It wasn’t just Indian players who mourned the death of Sushant. Many Pakistan cricketers also expressed grief after hearing the news. The news of Sushant’s death spread like wildfire on Twitter and many Pakistan players shared condolences after knowing about the actor’s demise.

Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik also expressed his shock after learning about Sushant’s death. “Shocked to hear about Shushant Singh committing suicide, life is a long beautiful inning, 34 was not the age to let go, may your soul rest in peace #ShushantSinghRajput (1986-2020) gone too soon,” wrote Shoaib.

Along with Shoaib, many other Pakistan internationals including Wahab Riaz paid tribute to Sushant. Wahab also offered condolences to the actor’s family.

Sushant received many accolades after delivering impressive performances in movies like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, PK, Kedarnath and Chhichhore. The news of his death came after his ex-manager Disha Salian committed suicide last Monday by jumping off the 14th floor from her apartment in Mumbai.

The 34-year-old had started his career with television before making his debut on the big screen with Kai Po Che. He even earned a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut for his performance in the movie. Sushant also had earned Filmfare nomination for Best Actor for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
