5 Bangladesh players to watch out for in World T20

Bangladesh is one of the best rising teams for quite a few years now. But in the last 18 months, they have emerged as the team to beat in the limited overs competition. They handed 2-1 series defeats to both India and South Africa last year and reached the finals of Asia Cup this year, beating Sri Lanka and Pakistan on their way. In the ongoing World T20 qualifiers, Bangladesh has been one of the strongest teams in their group and with most of its players in form; it is difficult to pick anyone out for special adulation. But here are 5 players from the Bangladesh team that you should keep an eye out for in the main draw of World T20 2016. 1. Soumya Sarkar Bangladesh cricketer Soumya Sarkar. His ability to play an aggressive innings using pure technical shots has been amazing to watch. He plays a pretty risk-free game, while giving out high returns in form of quick runs. He has a strike rate of 130+ in T20Is which is phenomenal for a batsman with such a solid technique and temperament. He is without doubt one of the most exciting openers in the World T20 2016. 2. Mahmudullah Riyad Mahmudullah. (Photo Source: BCB) Mahmudullah or Mahmudullah Riyad as he is better known as is one of the pillars of Bangladeshi batting line up. He provides the big and quick runs at the end. He has made the no.6 position his own and if we go by his performance last year in the ICC World Cup, where he scored two back to back centuries, he has just improved upon that performance. Now he gives the stability lower down the order and his bowling is just the bonus Bangladesh gets. 3. Taskin Ahmed Bangladesh cricketer Taskin Ahmed. Since then, he along with Al-Amin Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman has become the best bowling combination for Bangladesh. Taskin can both seam and swing the ball at good pace and are at this best when the pitch offers a bit of bounce. Though he is only 20, he has quickly learnt the art of bowling yorkers and slower ones to contain the batsmen in death overs. 4. Sabbir Rahman Bangladesh cricketer Sabbir Rahman. Widely regarded as one of the most talented batsmen, Sabbir has just came into his own in the last 18 months and Bangladesh have reaped the benefits of his form immensely. He took Bangladesh to a decent position with a well-made 80+ against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup T20 and showed that the no.3 position is the perfect on for, since he can control the game from there according to his wishes. 5. Shakib Al Hasan Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan. AL Hasan is one of the few genuine all-rounders in game who can win you the match with both bat and ball separately if needed. He is also a keen reader of the game and provides input to Captain Mashrafe Mortaza and his experience of playing IPL in India for Kolkata Knight Riders will provide Bangladesh information on how to handle the pitches here and Shakib will be the key player for the team.
