Yes, he is the man who halted Stuart Binny’s international career with five sixes in an over. Like his idol Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis has become a pulverising force in limited overs cricket. Lewis may not have a stellar ODI average to boast, but a strike rate of 163 in T20Is speaks volumes about his ball muscling ability. His two T20I centuries and scores of 176* and 148 in ODI are an indication of the annihilation he is capable of.

Recently, he went berserk, representing Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Though Windies are not favourites by any means to even reach the semis of the World Cup, a one-off good day for the left-handed opener could see him break Guptill’s record.
