Sachin Tendulkar is well accustomed to what it feels being dismissed in the nervous 90s. Be it umpiring calls, a bad shot or some brilliant bowling he has seen the rough end quite frequently. This was a game in Belfast Ireland in the aftermath of India’s disastrous campaign in the 2007 ODI world cup in West Indies. India had crashed out from the league stages and there was justified anger among the fans. In the 1st game of the 3 match series on a tough pitch, India battled hard courtesy Rahul Dravid and Tendulkar putting up a brave show. But sedate batting from the rest of the batsmen meant India could manage only 242 on the board. Sachin Tendulkar was cruelly run out on 99 after misjudging the second run. The Indian bowlers though, made the Proteas work hard for the total and they reached home only in the final over.
