5 Batsmen with most consecutive ducks in Test cricket
The facts related to Test cricket are very surprising and interesting to know.
4. Mark E Waugh, Australia (4)
Nicknamed as Junior, Mark Waugh scored a century on Test debut against England in 1991 and was in talks all around for his elegance. The former was later regarded as one of the most elegant and gifted stroke makers to ever play the game.
But, a year later in 1992, tables were turned around him and he ran into trouble as the right-handed-batsman bagged successive duck pairs in two Test-matches against Sri Lanka at Colombo and Moratuwa.
His four ducks in a row earned him a temporary nickname “Audi” after the car makers four-circle logo. Waugh’s teammates trolled him by saying that if there had been another Test he had a chance to be renamed “Olympic”.
