Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman marked one of the brightest eras in Indian cricket. The 4 iconic batsmen with their varied set of skills proved to be a nightmare for the opposition. There has been a lot of debate among the cricketing pundits about who had the biggest impact on Indian cricket during the 2000s.

Sachin Tendulkar, the highest run-scorer in the history of International cricket is fondly called as the ‘God of Cricket’ by his fans. Rahul Dravid was called as ‘The Wall’ because of his impenetrable defences and his patient and huge innings’. Sourav Ganguly was frankly called as the ‘God of off-side’ because of his elegant shots in that direction. Also, VVS Laxman was called as ‘God of 4th innings’ because of the numerous instances in which he saved his team’s skin in the last innings of the test match after Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid failed.

Thus, there is a lot of infighting amongst fans as to whose contributions were the most significant during the 2000s. A Rahul Dravid fan took a hilarious dig on other players with this banner which say that after temples close, even gods have to go behind a wall.
