At this point, Virat Kohli being one of the greatest players of this generation is a universal fact. Irrespective of how he performs in the next few years, he will definitely go down in the history books as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that he has been nothing short of a superhero.

Over the years, the batting maestro has made it a habit to score runs for fun, so much so that him scoring centuries became as regular as people brushing their teeth. However, the Indian batter hasn’t been in the best of form of late.

Taking his insanely high standards into account, 2021 has turned out to be a mediocre year for India’s Test captain, at least as a batter. Yet, there were several instances where he looked at his best. So which are the best knocks of the legendary batter in 2021?

In the article, we shall be taking a look at the best knocks of Virat Kohli in 2021

It takes nerves of steel to score runs in a World Cup game, let alone an India-Pakistan game, where the stakes are at their highest. In a high-voltage clash between the two rival cricketing nations, Virat Kohli rose to the occasion, and ensured that he doesn’t go down without putting a fight.

The Indian openers were victims of Shaheen Afridi, who was breathing fire that day. India were reduced to 6-2 in their opening encounter of the ICC T20 WC 2021. While the men in blue were having a batting collapse, their then T20I captain seemed like he was batting on a different surface.

Displaying his class, the batting genius went on to score 57 from 49 deliveries, which included five boundaries and a six. It was his sheer brilliance which propelled his team to a decent score of 151. However, his efforts went in vain as the Babar Azam-led side went on to chase the total in just 17.5 overs, without even losing a wicket.
