5 Big International names who missed out the IPL 2015: The IPL auctions can be unfair sometimes with a lot of talented players missing out due to the high competition of the league and the constraints that are put on the purchasing purse. Some cricketers, despite having all it takes to be big names in the league were not picked by any of the teams. Here is our list of 5 cricketers who didn’t make the cut in IPL 2015: 1. Kemar Roach: Kemar Roach. (Photo Source: AFP) This right arm fast bowler has the ability to clock at 150 Kilometers per hour. Kemar Roach is the seventh fastest bowler in the world and is the only West Indian to have taken 10 wickets in a test match since 2005. Despite his pace and skill, Roach was quite surprisingly ignored in the IPL auctions, as no franchise showed enough interest to by this express pacer. 2. James Anderson: James Anderson. (© Getty Images) This fast bowler has incredible dexterity with the new ball and can swing it both ways. James Anderson can be very difficult to face for the batsman especially with the new ball. The leading wicket taker for England in tests cricket could ironically, could not generate enough pitch for the IPL teams to be considered for a bid in the auction. 3. Martin Guptill: Martin Guptill. (© Getty Images) Martin Guptill has been one of the best finds for New Zealand in the last decade or so, since he has played various roles in the team, from opening the innings to anchoring the middle order. The more the time that he spends on the pitch, the more is it difficult to get him out. Guptill recently scored a double ton in the world cup and recorded the 2nd ever best individual ODI score. He could have been of great utility now had he been picked by a side like Kings XI Punjab who struggled right throughout the season to find the right opening combination. 4. Kevin O Brien: Kevin O’Brien. (Photo Source: Getty Images) The destructive Irish batsman can rip apart bowlers with his power hitting and aggressive stroke play. Kevin O Brien holds the record for the fastest world cup hundred, which helped Ireland; notch up a historic victory against England. Though Kevin had shown his inclination of playing in the IPL he was not picked by any side. 5. Ross Taylor: Ross Taylor. (Photo Source: AFP) Ross Taylor the destructive New Zealander can run through any bowling attack when he’s in good form. He is a player who loves the leg side and can thrash you if you give him any width. He too went unsold in the auctions despite having the big hitters tag with him.
